Rev. Dr. Hedy (Heather) Collver is a Christ-follower, pastor, blogger, reader, writer, unabashed logophile, amateur artist, wife of Chuck, and Auntie (& Great-Auntie) of nineteen gorgeous nieces & nephews.
Hedy is the Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables, a vibrant family of faith in Miami, Florida.
Before that, she was the Senior Pastor at Plantation United Methodist Church (2016 to 2019), and the Executive Pastor at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Virginia, just south of Washington DC (2013-2016). Prior to that, she was a pastor at Christ Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (2007-2013).
Hedy received her Doctor of Ministry in Church Leadership from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC, and her Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando. As part of her initial seminary training, she was a full-time Chaplain Resident in the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Vitas Hospice in Fort Lauderdale. And recently, nerd that she is, just for fun, she completed a certificate in Marketing through Cornell University online, and is currently pursuing another in Finance for Non-Profits.
